Max Talbot Foundation Kick-Off Event
Last night Kent and I had the honor of attending the kick-off event for the Max Talbot Foundation. He hosted an event at the Bossa Nova downtown Pittsburgh to raise funds to complete the IDADEE orphanage in Haiti for the children that still need a home & care. He went several months ago to Haiti for the first time with Brad Henderson, founder of the Pittsburgh Kids Foundation (where I work), Sean Casey, and Mike Rupp of the Pittsburgh Penquins to witness first-hand of both the devastation and the need.
Since then he has founded the Max Talbot Foundation, an organization “devoted to lending a helping hand to children in need”. As a kick-off, he hosted the event last night…which was a sure success in raising a lot of money for the orphanage through ticket sales to the event, a live auction, & a silent auction.
What an honor to be a part of the evening…making a difference in the lives of children worldwide!
